Detail About Everest View Trek - 5 Days

The Everest View Trek is one of the shortest and easiest trekking routes in the Khumbu region. It is also known as the Everest Panorama Trek and is ideal for travelers with limited time. This trek allows travelers who do not have time for the Everest Base Camp Trek to enjoy views of Mount Everest in just 5 days.

 

It is an excellent alternative for those who wish to see the Himalayas while experiencing Sherpa culture, villages, fabulous festivals, and monasteries. 4-Night, 5-Day Everest View Trek from Kathmandu itinerary begins with a 30-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2850m), and the trail descends through Chaurikharka, Phakding, Toktok, Benkar, Monjo town, Jorsalle, and Namche Bazaar.

It depends on the duration of your trip and how long you want to spend in the mountains for a 5-day Everest View Trek. The trek costs approximately USD 1,060 per person, depending on group size and services included. If you are joining a group, the cost will be cheaper.

 

Lukla to Namche Bazaar Distance

 

Lukla is a small village and tourist junction; the distance from Lukla to Namche Bazaar is only 13km. Both Lukla and Namche Bazaar are important trading and trekking hubs on the Everest route. However, and gateways to other treks in the Everest region. These two villages are just 13 kilometers apart, which means 8 miles.

 

How to reach the Namche Bazaar from Kathmandu?

 

Namche Bazaar is not connected by road. Moreover, you can fly by plane or helicopter at Lukla, and after that, the journey continues to Namche, or you can trek from Jiri Shivalaya or Phaplu. It takes a 10 to 12-hour drive from Kathmandu, and you should walk for 6 to 7 days to get to Namche Bazaar. If you take a flight from KTM to Lukla, it takes around 35 minutes. It offers you an outstanding scenic view. You will see the perspectives on the Himalaya ranges and hills from a Plane or a helicopter. From Lukla, you will begin trekking to Namche Bazaar through Phakding village.

 

Some Tips for Everest View Trek Preparation

 

The Everest Panoramic View Trek is pretty short in the Everest region. You do not need to prepare much for the high passes and the Everest Base Camp trek. You need a a basic level of physical fitness, and the trekkers must walk for at least 6 to 7 hours a day.

 

A month or two before coming to Nepal to do the Everest View Trek, you can do some exercise, which will help prepare you for the trek.

Early morning flight to Lukla (2810m/9219feet), which takes around 30-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, is the main trekking gateway where we meet the rest of our team in Lukla and begin our trek from Lukla. We walk along the way and pass through the delightful village of Cheplung village, Ghat, and Phakding Village (2640 meters/8,661 feet), Overnight at Lodge.

After breakfast, we start our trek passing through the delightful pine forest. We trek; continue to walk on the trail; that goes north up the Benkar. We cross the suspension bridge and pass Chumoa and Monjo villages before reaching the entrance of the Sagarmatha National Park. After; crossing a suspension bridge again, we pass the Jorsale village and walk alongside the Dudh Koshi and Bhote Koshi Rivers. We ascend on a steep trail and reach Namche Bazaar (3445 meters/11,302 feet). It is most likely the biggest town in the Khumbu region, overnight at Lodge.

After breakfast, we hike to Everest View Hotel, the first part. We ascend on a steep trail and reach Everest Hotel, from there if the blue sky. We will be able to see the delightful mountains views of Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhoste, Ama Dablam, Thamserku, Kusumkangaru, and many more mountains view, etc. then after, we go to explore the Khumjung Village, this village one of the most beautiful colorful rooftop houses and we explore the sir Edmund Hillary school while finishing it we back down to Namche Bazaar and Overnight at Lodge.

The trail descended the steep section back to the same way as we crossed Jorsalle, Manjo, Benkar, and Phakding of the small villages of the way to reach Lukla overnight at Lodge.

A trip to the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest, is an adventure experience of a lifetime. Along the Everest View Trek route, we try out local and Western food.  The guesthouses offers a wide choice of meal items on its menu, which can be prepared by the local community.  Some variety of local meal items you can expect to find include Tibetan bread, Chapatti with fried omelet, wheat bread, and Sherpa stew, as well as western foods like Oat porridge, banana pancakes,  Muesli with Jam or Honey, French toast with Jam and Honey, Corn flakes, Hashed brown, vegetable items, and many more.

 

Hot drinks are also available at the Tea House, such as Milk tea, Coffee, Black tea, Mint tea, Ginger lemon tea, Masal tea, and Hot chocolate. However, the cost will be extra. But it is not included in our package trip.

Accommodation

During the trek, you will get basic accommodation. The rooms typically have 2 to 4 beds with the best blankets, mattresses, Pillows, and bed covers. However, you have to share the washroom and toilet with other clients.  However, if you are a solo trekker, you might have to share a room with other people. If a single room is available, your guide will try to arrange it for you at the Guest House, then the Guide will try their best to provide the best services for you.

During the trek, the main course foods are included in our package trip (Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner). The food will be served according to the package schedules. However, any personal and bar bills will be an extra cost.

If you are on the way to the trek route and you do not have enough cash, then do not worry about it. Namche Bazaar and Lukla have ATMs and banking facilities. However, if you are planning to do this trek. We highly encourage you to take enough NPR cash from Kathmandu.

Travel Insurance

On-arrival Visa

The Visa on Arrival is available at Tribhuvan International Airport, Kathmandu, Nepal. You can easily get an Arrival Visa and must enter Nepal within six months from the visa-issued date.

 

A visa is applicable; it will cost around USD 30 for a 15–day visaUSD 40 for a 30-day visa, and USD 100 for a 90-day tourist visa to get to a foreign country. However, those who have Chinese and Indian passports do not require the visa fee.

If you are not taking all the baggage on the trek. You can take only essential trekking equipment on the trek, and other gear, you can store at your Hotel in Kathmandu or our office. Hotels have free luggage storage services.

Trip Booking Process

For the trip booking process. We require a passport copy, a passport-size photo through email or via WhatsApp, and a 20% advance deposit. Regarding the deposit, you can transfer through our online booking system, bank transfer, or via Western Union money transfer.

Last Minute booking

Generally, trekkers plan their trip 3 to 8 months in advance. However, some trekkers decide on the trip at the last minute. We also take last-minute bookings. For the last-minute booking. You should make a full payment.

Tipping for the Staffs

Tipping is highly expected. Our Guide and porter teams will try their best to provide services during the trek. After the trek, tipping is expected. Moreover, tips are not a fixed amount or percentage. We recommend tipping for their excellent services.

Did a solo hike with Chitra back in feb 2018 to the Everest View trail trek. Very approachable and easy to communicate with. He is professional when it comes to the travel arrangements, and very fun to trek with. Definitely recommends him to be your trekking mate.
